An editor who left TokyoPop to help start this new company, Go! Media, remembered me from my TokyoPop freelancing days and asked me to design the logo for one of their launch titles, Cantarella, as well as work on the layout and lettering of the actual comic.

A friend was generous enough to recommend me to Seven Seas as a logo designer. Most of these are logo designs for their book titles minus the "light novel" which is branding.
This was a project done for Bandai through a small studio I worked briefly with, Bad Apple.

Dice - Promo booklet
My responsibility on the project was the overall design of non comic pages and advertisments, text insertion and sound effects on comic pages, and individually deal with the printer and Bandai Representative to get it to press. This was created for Bandai's promotion of DICE at the San Diego International Comic Convention 2004 where it was distrubuted.

After my work with the DICE promo booklet, the project manager gave me an individual assignment with Bandai Entertainment's new manga division to work on their flagship title.

This was a special rush case where a friend of mine in the company needed some story boards done ASAP.

DragonQuest 8 - 4commercial concepts
I was given 4 commerical concepts to story board in about 5days i believe? Each concept required 8 panels and also a japanese version had to be made for there Japanese counterparts. I drew the boards, scanned them, and laid out the text to match the boards in InDesign. I then made the Japanese version with the same layout. Unfortunately they are not available to the public for download, but as always just email me if you're a prospective employer~

I've worked for UCLA's The Daily Bruin for a good 3 years as work study and I've accumulated hundreds of experience points in terms of design as well as work ethic. A fast-paced, deadline oriented environment with young fresh co-workers, if I didn't have to graduate from college, i might have been content with this position for life =)

We were given logos and images, ad text and desired size to create the ad. The ad was then sent back to the client for proof before the run deadline. Ads were mostly typographical and designed in greyscale unless otherwise requested.
